Association for the promotion of Viola Performance and Research
The Australian and New Zealand Viola Society (ANZVS) is a non-profit organisation which exists to promote viola performance and research. The society produces the biannual ANZVS Journal and organises ‘viola’ events, teacher’s and player’s workshops, master-classes, concerts, local viola ensemble days, viola conventions and congresses.
The ANZVS Journal keeps members informed of new library acquisitions, music/concert/book reviews, new recordings and sheet music editions. It publishes articles on viola and string teaching, viola history and various items and events concerning the viola and violists worldwide. Contributions from anyone to the ANZVS journal are very welcome. Notices of upcoming concerts featuring violas are also sent to members via emails.
