The ANZVS Beethoven's Birthday Cafe Viola afternoon in Sydney on 12 December attracted an enthusiastic 'decet/dectet' - quite a success in these times of socially-distanced small gatherings.
Present and new members greeted Beethoven with canons by Mozart & Telemann, Mozart's Ave Verum before arrangements of Beethoven movements from the Serenade Op. 8, the Rondo of Piano Concerto No.1, Symphony No. 7, Fur Elise, the contrast of Faure's Pavane before Beethoven's '5th' and a tango finale (plus a Beethoven's birthday cake interval).
